I am a Mathematics teacher from South Africa with 4 years teaching experience in South Africa. For the last two years I have been in a very fulfilling Maths Support Teacher role working with and supporting students who are well below their curriculum level. I have a keen interest in working with students with ASD, and fellow teachers of students with ASD, to differentiate teaching and learning methods to benefit these students. I am currently studying towards a postgraduate certificate in Mathematics Education through Massey University. The focus of my studies is looking at how mathematics instruction can and should be differentiated to be more inclusive and help cause a shift in a students disposition towards mathematics. My greatest asset is my interpersonal skills and my ability to form connections with students.
