About Clair Bryan

I care about making experiences better through human-centered design. I leverage my strengths (empathy, woo, adaptability, restorative, & input) to help students optimize their university experience. Across all of my roles in higher education, I have worked directly with or adjacent to human-centered design concepts. For example, I have guided students through the HCD taxonomy to make meaning of their study abroad experiences, incorporated HCD concepts into workshops to help students develop into effective leaders, and adapted a career development model to coach students through their own career development process. In my current role I also use my eye for visual design to create relevant and helpful resources for students that adhere to our brand style guide - check out my featured section! I have completed multiple trainings through our Siebel Center for Design, including workshops on every space of the HCD taxonomy (understand, synthesize, ideate, prototype, and implement). I most recently completed an introductory course on UX Theory and Tools where I developed my first high fidelity prototype using Figma. One day I hope to pivot into the tech industry to design new or improve current products in the market. My professional core values are authenticity, growth, compassion, humor, and social justice. I am committed to building relationships and creating spaces that are psychologically safe so that the folks I serve are able to freely engage, learn, and grow - and ultimately create a better world. I will be relocating to Bonn, Germany in September and am actively seeking roles based in the EU.
