Claire Babin is pursuing a Master of Management in Energy at Tulane University with a specialization in Entrepreneurship. She is expected to graduate in December 2026. While at Tulane, she works at Callais Capital Management as a Junior Associate and AI/Energy Specialist. Her work includes building Python-based NLP tools and integrating LLMs to automate financial reporting and modeling for Southeast energy and climate tech investments.Claire has a diverse background bridging ecological science, venture capital, and public sector work. As a proud Cajun shaped by the environmental challenges of South Louisiana, Claire’s experiences with Hurricane Ida cemented her commitment to building systems that strengthen community resilience and data-informed sustainability.She earned her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Ecology and Management from Louisiana State University in 2024, where she focused on natural resources, conservation biology, ecological modeling, and environmental policy. At LSU, she worked as a farmer and researcher on USDA-funded research projects, including carbon sequestration in grain root systems. While at Nicholls State University, she worked to support research and data collection for a study involving multidrug-resistant bacteria harboring on plastic waste in recreational boat launches. She has also held roles at the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources and The Walt Disney Company, where she gained experience in stakeholder communication, GIS data management, and public engagement.After graduation, Claire seeks strategic roles in energy investment, trading, data-driven consulting, product development, or market intelligence. She wants to help organizations make smarter capital decisions that align business goals with long-term system value and resilience. Claire enjoys birdwatching, reading on her Kindle, cooking Cajun food, and exploring public lands outside of work. She is a systems thinker and brings a grounded, multidisciplinary approach to solving problems.
