About Claire Eggleton

I am the post graduate programme lead within the School of Criminal Justice, and an experienced, qualified lecturer and personal tutor currently working within the HE sector. I spent 20 years working for Wiltshire police but moved into teaching over ten years ago. I currently assist on a number of modules within the School of Criminal Justice. I hold a degree with honours in Social Policy and Criminology and a masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice as well as a teaching qualification. I am an experienced standards verifier, moderator and exam marker with a number of examination boards and have recently worked with a major education provider as a subject matter expert (SME) to develop online resources to run alongside traditional teaching methods to enhance teaching and learning. I have an extensive background in policing, crime prevention and community safety. Currently applying for fellowship membership of the HEA, and about to start studying for my PHD in criminal justice. Member of the British Society of Criminology and the British Sociology Society.
