About Claire Frey

A well-educated, high-aptitude candidate, The Boeing Return Flight Program provided the opportunity to fulfill my ultimate goal to return to the Engineering profession. Graduate materials engineering education plus industrial, volunteer, and small business launch/ management experience have assisted me in the transition to my Supplier Requirements Engineering role. Serving in executive leadership for the Society of Women Engineers St Louis Section and on the Washington University Women & Engineering Steering Committee enables me to fulfill my desire to advocate from Women in STEM. The roles also provide opportunities to provide STEM outreach to the next generation of Women in STEM. In the past I made a decision to suspend career due to an opportunity to live abroad in Italy for several years. Upon returning to the U.S, I continued in that path as a result of family and extensive spouse travel. Shifting opportunities during the recession led me to launch a property rehab investment company. In 2011, I focused my skills on the launch of a small rehab investment business that provided experience in project planning and management. I acquired properties and created high return rehab/construction plans. I then enlisted contractors, personally performed rehab and managed projects, ultimately achieving a 30% return. Substantial volunteer leadership experience includes serving on executive councils, chairing committees, organizing events and coordinating volunteers. My overall combination of education and experience makes me a versatile and adaptable candidate.
