Background
About Claire Maxted
Hello! I'm Claire, a dedicated, self-motivated, multi award-winning writer and innovator with over two decades of experience as a print and online journalist in the travel, outdoor and fitness magazine industries. I specialise in creating content and social strategy that inspires audience engagement and membership growth having successfully co-founded and edited Trail Running magazine at Bauer Media (25k readership). I also kickstarted the Challenge (35k members), founded Wild Ginger Trail & Ultra Running YouTube channel (27.5k subscribers) and created the Covid-19k Challenge on Strava (100k members). I’m excellent at meeting deadlines having written features, interviews and gear reviews for numerous outdoor, adventure and fitness magazines and websites, and I’m currently writing my second book. As a trail and ultra runner who loves wild spaces, protecting wildlife, the environment and encouraging sustainability are extremely important to me.
