Trinity’s nursing program has given me a strong educational base focused on evidence based practice and has provided multiple hours in clinical and simulation lab to develop my skills. My clinical rotation, in excess of 675 clinical hours, have been in various settings where I have been able to apply my knowledge base and develop my clinical skills further. I am currently completing my Capstone internship at Little Company of Mary Hospital in the Medical Surgical Psychiatric Unit. I have personally focused on refining my physical assessment and critical thinking skills. Trinity has taught me that the patient/nurse relationship goes much deeper than being able to care for someone physically, it has taught me that patients need to be cared for on a spiritual and emotional level.
