About Claire Murphy

As a Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering student graduating from Indiana Tech May 2026, I’m passionate about solving complex problems, building systems that work smarter, and helping others succeed along the way. My journey blends technical expertise with hands-on experience from supporting peers as a tutor to collaborating with professionals during my internships.Tutoring has sharpened my communication and leadership skills, as I help fellow students grasp challenging STEM concepts and build confidence in their learning. It’s also deepened my ability to listen, adapt, and meet people where they are, skills that translate directly to engineering teams and real-world projects. In my internships, I worked alongside experienced engineers to streamline production processes, collect and analyze data, and contribute to the implementation of robots in the manufacturing line. This gave me valuable insight into how engineering impacts business outcomes and strengthened my skills in problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Through my coursework in mechatronics and robotics, I’ve built a strong foundation in mechanical design, electronics, coding, and controls. I thrive in project-based environments where I can apply what I’ve learned, troubleshoot creatively, and bring ideas to life through hardware and software.I’m driven by curiosity, a love for hands-on learning, and a desire to build technology that makes life better. Whether working on a team, mentoring others, or designing a new project, I’m committed to growth, excellence, and making a positive impact through engineering.
