About Claire Oconnor

Fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at the University of North Carolina with a strong interest in clinical sciences and immuno-oncology. I have valuable experience across multiple stages of the drug development process, from basic science and wet lab research to aspects of clinical trial execution in both academic and industry settings. I have a solid background in pharmacological sciences and a propensity for oncology and immunology. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with molecular techniques like flow cytometry, PCR, and IHC, and have worked in clinical research and with a variety of medical safety projects. I have worked in settings that span preclinical research, protocol development, data analysis, and clinical settings. These experiences have been rooted in an understanding of the scientific method with a focus on improving patient outcomes. This array of experiences has strengthened my communication, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, and I’m excited to continue contributing to innovative, patient-centered drug development in the immuno-oncology setting.
