About Claire Shea

My name is Claire Shea and I am a third-year law student at the Seattle University School of Law. Life in Seattle began for me when I moved here to pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of Washington. Upon completion of my undergraduate education, I earned a major in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. I have worked in various customer service positions, through which I have learned how to serve people’s needs, work with others, handle multiple responsibilities at once, and maintain a healthy work environment. As a cashier at Nordstrom, I not only completed transactions for customers, but I also assisted multiple salespeople, completed an average of 40 online orders, and assisted other departments and their salespeople during every shift. While working at Ravenna Gardens and InSpa, I learned how to be self-sufficient, handle conflicts with co-workers, sell products to customers, and interact with individuals who were in a heightened emotional state. Through these experiences, I've developed a strong confidence in my ability to multi-task, take charge, adapt quickly, stay organized while under stress, work with fellow employees, and communicate with clients about their cases in a way they can understand and appreciate. Currently, I am working for Elise Buie Family Law as a legal intern. I am enjoying the positive and flexible work environment that Elise Buie and my co-workers have fostered as a firm, and I am excited to continue learning and strengthening my skills as a future lawyer.
