About Claire Smith

I am highly motivated and driven to achieve the best results for all service users, stakeholders and beneficiaries; as well as delivering on all contractual outcomes and impact targets. I am equally passionate about supporting people to make changes to their lives and the lives of others. I am always keen to enable the teams that I lead, to deliver and achieve, whilst bringing out the best in them. This approach has been critical to expanding my own skills and experience to work in a variety of sectors. I have gained extensive experience and skills across the field of children and young people, as well as a zest for Health and safety and high level reporting standards and budget control. Whilst working at HCT Group in Community Transport I further built on these skills, equipping me to deliver to an even higher standard. I have a proven ability and more than 24 years of developing and leading projects and sustaining professional relationships with a variety of people - from City banks, Local Authorities, funders, Probation, Prisons,Trusts and Foundations, the teams who I manage and support, cross organisational relationships with colleagues, as well as other partners and local providers. A natural communicator with a proven ability to nurture partnerships and relationships with Council officials as well as commissioners, including Transport for London and the Clinical Commissioning Group, have led me to generate six and seven figure annual revenue streams for the last 13 years. Loyal and honest I worked at Catch22 for almost eight years of my career history, supporting and developing myself and the organisation extensively within this time and have continued to apply myself in this way to the current time. I progressed to SHS where my passion for people continued, then onto my role leading The Resettlement Advice Service for Nacro; then securing a fantastic opportunity at Hackney Community Transport (a leading social enterprise), as Head of Community Transport and Stakeholder Engagement, from November 2014 until 2020. In September 2020 I joined Pimlico Million to work at a strategic level in the community alongside the Board to bring alive a vision and enhance the lives of local residents and community groups, on a freelance basis. My drive and determination for the highest standards is implicit and explicit throughout my work. Keen to ensure that everyone is given the best opportunities in life, I continue to be committed to change for some of the most disadvantaged groups and individuals.
