Experienced Food Scientist with a demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry. Skilled in Research, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office. Research professional with a Bachelors focused in Food Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. During my college years I was active in Product Development competitions and Dairy Product Judging competitions. I competed in the Disney IFTSA competition where my team progressed to the finals at the 2014 IFT Convention in New Orleans. As a member of the Dairy Products Judging team at UW-Madison, I attended early morning practices, and competitions around the Midwest evaluating milk, cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, butter, strawberry yogurt and vanilla ice cream. During school I worked as an intern for DairiConcepts at their Bruce, WI plant. I learned from the Plant Manager how dairy and cheese products are dried using a commercial dryer. I gained knowledge of how formula functionality and temperature affect the drying process, how the dryer was managed and controlled, and how different products were processed and analyzed to spec. After school I began working with Happy Family Organics, a subsidiary of Danone, in Boise, Idaho as a member of the Product Development team for wet food products. We are an organic baby food company producing premium, nutritious food for developing young minds and bodies, with a strong focus on company and community wellness, and sustainability. Outside of work, I love to do anything active! I have a great passion for the outdoors and have found an adventurer's paradise in Boise, Idaho. In my spare time I enjoy white water rafting, rock climbing, skiing, paragliding, hiking, spending time with my husband and dog, and cooking.
