About Claire Thomson

I have provided technical and graphic support across a broad spectrum of projects and sectors for over twenty years. Beginning my career in civil and structural engineering, I gained valuable experience in the industry working on large-scale projects. An accomplished technician with multi-disciplinary experience, I continued to apply those skills in the landscape architecture and urban design environment, creating high quality bespoke graphics, drawings, documents and publications. My combination of experience, skill and creative flair enables me to provide proficient and flexible support. More recently I have played a pivitol role in the development of a new charity, societi.org.uk, helping to take the organisation from start up, to registered charity status and on to a successful, award winning charity making huge changes in the field of Kawasaki Disease. Working in a very small team, I am involved in all aspects of charity management and the advancement of the charity's strategy through project work, including the creation of a patient information portal, undertaking vital research and analysis and national distribution of information to clinicians. I am also heavily involved in marketing communications, using my graphic skills to advance brand development, creating content and resouces for print, events, various digital media and website development. I am also integral to providing fundraiser support and the day to day running of the charity.
