About Claire Williams

My name is Claire Williams, and I am passionate about leveraging data to improve public health outcomes. I am currently a second-year MSPH student at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in the Biostatistics Department working towards getting my certificate in Data Science and will graduate in May 2025. I currently work part-time as a Research Assistant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the Prenatal Substance Exposure Surveillance and Research Team. Through this role, I have gained valuable experience collaborating on projects involving large electronic health record data, applying sample weights and survey procedures, conducting statistical analyses, assisting in drafting a manuscript, and presenting complex information to diverse audiences. I am proficient in SAS, R, and SQL, which I have utilized at work, as well as Python. Additionally, I have experience working in ArcGIS, Tableau, and PowerBI. As my role at the CDC concludes in May 2025, I am actively seeking full-time opportunities in Biostatistics, Data Analysis, or Data Science.
