About Claire Wright

I am capable of taking an innovative approach to solving problems as demonstrated. I enjoy the camaraderie, shared knowledge and support offered by a team environment as I have experienced in my work with the Fitzwilliam Hunt Supporters’ Committee and Cambridgeshire Countryside Alliance where we work together to organise events and ensure they are a success. However, working in a small team has required me to take lead responsibility for projects and see these through to the end which I have found challenging but rewarding. Working in a small office, with limited support resources, has required me to approach my work with a practical, common sense attitude and ensure I am always organised and on top of my diary and task list. Having worked alongside a variety of farmers, tenants, landowners and people of all backgrounds, I feel I have developed a range of interpersonal and communication skills which enable me to tackle new situations and sensitive issues with confidence, tact, pragmatism and good humour. I enjoy using my own initiative to achieve goals whether these are in the office or related to my varied other interests. Within the Fitzwilliam Hunt Supporters’ Committee I have been able to introduce new ideas for fundraising and hunt communications which have proved very successful. Furthermore I enjoy the challenge of communicating complex ideas in a clear and concise manner and at an appropriate level to the recipient of the information. These skills have consistently stood me in good stead during my career to date.
