About Clara Carr

Experience in social work and counseling, I am passionate about helping Veterans overcome mental health challenges and achieve their personal goals. I have a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a concentration in Family and Children. As a Readjustment Counselor at Manchester Vet Center, I provide individual and group counseling, outreach, and referral services to Veterans and their families who experience post-traumatic stress disorder, military sexual trauma, substance abuse, and other adjustment issues. In my previous role as a VASH Case Manager at Veteran Administration, I worked with chronically homeless Veterans to provide intensive case management and psychosocial services while residing in stable housing through HUDs Section 8 voucher system. I applied my counseling, mental health counseling, and crisis counselling skills to assess the needs, strengths, and barriers of each Veteran, and to develop and implement individualized service plans. I also collaborated with other service providers, landlords, and community partners to ensure the Veterans received comprehensive and coordinated care and support.
