About Clara Carroll
I am currently a MSc student at Imperial College London studying science communication. I am passionate about science education and encouraging public interest in STEM. In May 2025 I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in chemistry from Bucknell University. At Bucknell, I worked in Dr. Switzer's lab in the Department of Chemistry studying protein biochemistry investigating several mutations associated with adult neurodegenerative disorders in the enzyme DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1). I was also involved in leading several chemistry study groups, community engagement in the Chemistry Club, and in planning the Design Thinking Leadership pre-orientation. Aside from my scientific passions, I run my own jewelry business online and through in-person craft fairs.
