Thanks for visiting my profile! I am a Marital and Family therapist (MFC # 53185) and a registered art therapist. I have private Practice in Culver City, Ca. My work includes providing individual and group therapy, teaching and facilitating educational and support groups and supervising trainees and interns in different settings. I have worked with a variety of populations, but have mostly and very successfully worked with women and teenage girls, individually and in group settings. I have treated clients with different issues, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, relational issues, eating disorders, fears and phobias etc. I am trained in EMDR (EMDRIA approved) and in different therapy theories. I tailor my skills and knowledge to each client’s needs and include art therapy and somatic work, when they are open to. I have a non pathologizing approach to suffering and together with my clients we explore their strengths and interests, including their personal beliefs, to build a baseline of resiliency and confidence from which to approach difficulties, accomplish personal goals and build satisfactory relationships. I practice mindfulness in my life and in my work with clients. I invite clients to develop an accepting and friendly approach to all parts of their personalities and experiences, in order to foster integration, awareness, self respect and to be able to make desired and lasting changes. I am convinced that the foundation of happiness is a healthy self esteem and attunement with inner truth. It is my priority to honor my client’s personal experience and collaborate with them in the development of these qualities. From my perspective, effective therapy should be centered in the empowerment of the client. Ultimately, freedom, real power and the ability to have satisfying relationships has to do with living your own truth, with self love, and the successful integration of difficult experiences.
