About Clara Leandro

I am a Biologist with a Master’s in Medical Parasitology and a PhD in Biology, specializing in Biotechnology from Nova University of Lisbon. My passion for applied research has driven my career. I began at Technophage as a scientist, focusing on isolating new bacteriophages, and years later, I’m pleased to provide scientific support for clinical studies involving those same bacteriophages in humans. My extensive professional experience and specialized training have positioned me as the Scientific Director at Technophage. In this role, I oversee the development of cutting-edge technologies, products, and medicines targeting bacterial infections, neurological, and ophthalmic diseases. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to innovation, I am dedicated to getting solutions to today’s most serious healthcare challenges.
