About Clara Meier

My name is Clara Meier. I graduated from College of Charleston in 2020 with a Geology Bachelor's of Science. Upon graduating high school in 2015, I took a gap year in which I served with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps for a 10-month completing conservation work throughout California. In 2018, I accepted a summer internship at the National Smithsonian Air and Space Museum at which time I was responsible for surveying geological features on Mars using remote technology. In 2019, I conducted undergraduate summer research with the Geology Department at College of Charleston in Alaska. In 2020, I served with the Southwest Conservation Corps on a Fourteeners Crew in which I constructed trail on Kit Carson Mountain in Colorado. Recently, I held a one-year position under Conservation Legacy working for the Bureau of Land Management New Mexico State Office as a Natural Resource Assistant. This internship opened the doors to my current position as an Environmental Planner with HNTB- a highly reputable infrastructure firm focused on improving transportation infrastructure across the nation.
