About Clara Templin

My name is Clara Templin, and I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. In May, I graduated with my BS in Materials Science and Engineering (Polymer and Fibers concentration) from Georgia Tech where I also received a minor in Industrial Design. In terms of my educational interests, I am very curious about materials for improved environmental sustainability and remediation such as ways to get rid of existing plastic pollution and microplastics. Prior to university, I received an arts-based education where I specialized in creative writing and long-format, heavily researched papers more generally. In the Fall, I will be continuing my graduate education at Tech. I am pursing my PhD also in Materials Science and Engineering. My current project centers on polymer physics fundamentals for applications in semiconductors and solar cells. I will be joining the labs of Dr. Natalie Stingelin and Dr. Scott Danielsen where I look forward to working with and learning from them and the numerous other students in their labs.
