About Clare Amicarelli

I am a Civil Engineering graduate from the Bachelor of Applied Science-Civil Engineering Co-op program at the University of Windsor. I have had the pleasure of working at the Town of Kingsville, Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority, MOBIA Technology Innovations and the City of Windsor. While working at the City of Windsor, I have gained design skills by creating permanent and temporary traffic calming designs and gained experience using different standards and manuals such as the Ontario Traffic Manuals, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Transportation Association of Canada Geometric Design Guide, and the City's best practices and standard engineering drawings. While working at MOBIA Technology Innovations, I was able to build on my project management skills by completing a Project Manager Professional (PMP) course and obtaining a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certificate by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Furthermore, as team lead of 13 employees, I was able to demonstrate strong leadership skills by training new employees, authorizing time sheets, and continuously providing support, guidance, and feedback to the team. Throughout my co-op placements and undergraduate studies, I have acquired many skills in which to aid me in my journey as a Civil Engineer. I have acquired strong skills with the scheduling software, Primavera P6, and skills with the software; Power BI, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD 2D, in which I have obtained a certificate. My experience with creating delay visuals on both PowerPoint and Excel which communicate construction progress to management has helped me strengthen my skills in detail-orientation and Microsoft Office. Furthermore, I have experience reviewing bridge drawings for the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority which has helped me strengthen my ability to read and analyze structural drawings. In addition, I have experience performing daily indemnity inspections and acquiring daily traffic counter data for the Town of Kingsville. These tasks helped me learn how to document field data and help me gain strong public relations skills by dealing with the public on a daily basis and always striving to represent the town in a positive light. I have received feedback of being a dependable and reliable employee with strong attention to detail and always eager to learn more.
