University Profile: Alumni Medal: No Money No Time nutrition website: https://nomoneynotime.com.au/ My research focuses on improving nutrition related health and well-being. I seek to achieve this by developing, delivering and evaluating eHealth nutrition interventions for individuals based on life stage (e.g. children, pregnancy, young adults) or among those at higher chronic disease risk (e.g. Type 2 Diabetes and Heart disease). 2023 was a major year! I was awarded Officer, the Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to health research in nutrition and dietetics, scientific organisations and science communication. I received the Alumni Medal for Professional Excellence, University of Newcastle, and was made Life Member of Dietitians Australia. I hold an NHMRC Leadership Research Fellowship (L3 Investigator Grant, 2022-2026). I was awarded the 2021 Elizabeth Blackburn Investigator Grant Award in Clinical Medicine and Science, as the highest ranked female applicant. I am a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (FAHMS), Nutrition Society of Australia (FNSA) and Dietitians Australia (FDA). I was a council member of the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) for 6 years and elected as Vice President for 2 years (up to February 2009). From 2003 to 2010 I was chair of the Food and Nutrition group of the Australian Child & Adolescent Obesity Research Network (ACAORN).
