As Interim Chief People Officer at Mercy Corps, I am leading our global People function through one of the most significant transformations in our organization’s history. My focus is on shaping a people strategy that strengthens leadership, builds resilient systems, and aligns and designs our workforce for greater impact in a rapidly changing humanitarian landscape.With more than two decades of experience in international HR and organizational development, I bring a deep commitment to designing people systems that are values-driven, adaptive, and responsive to diverse and complex contexts. I have held senior HR leadership roles across Europe, Africa, and Asia, spanning private, public and not-for-profit organizations. As the proud founder of Bongo HR, I’ve partnered with a diverse range of organizations advancing social good, including British Red Cross, CARE, Green Climate Fund, MSF, Plan International, UNICEF, UNDP, WHO and many others as a trusted external advisor to help address complex organisational challenges. My work is grounded in strategic, systems-based thinking and driven by a belief that people are at the heart of sustainable impact and accountable humanitarian assistance. I am passionate about building organizations where leadership is courageous, cultures are inclusive, and teams can thrive in uncertainty - and I remain optimistic about our ability to collectively achieve what Mercy Corps believes: that a better world *is* possible.
