About Clare Graves

With over 30 years of experience within the FE sector, I am a qualified lecturer within the Further Education sector. I have taught and managed in a broad range of FE settings, including a large GFE college and Adult Learning establishments. In-depth experience of quality improvement, strategic and operational management, people management, coaching, curriculum design and change management. Most recent Quality Assurance management role was for an awarding body, giving me additional experience and knowledge of Ofqual and QAA regulations. Scrutinising and approving new qualifications ensuring the fit within regulatory guidelines and working across a broad range of training and education providers supporting improvement in IQA. A trained Ofsted nominee and has been a lead member of management during Ofsted Inspections for various providers with good to outstanding results. I have been a freelance quality assurance consultant for the past year, using my extensive experience of quality assurance, graphic design, teaching and management to work with a range of organisations, individuals and providers where support is required to meet external requirements and offer advise on continuous improvement strategies, resulting in Good/Outstanding Ofsted inspections, Ofsted readiness and improved sub-contractor provision. Alongside this role I run a number of successful Slimming World groups across South Liverpool utilising my experience of coaching and delivery to provide a quality service and achieve excellent results for members.
