About Clare Lowe

In my professional life, I have always had a skill for creating supportive spaces to facilitate and encourage others within their own growth. From working with small businesses and charities as a copywriter and digital marketer to events organiser and now, workshop leader. I have two freelance organisations Wig in a Box Promotions, a cabaret and a community events space and Clare Lowe Creative Workshops. With Wig in a Box I produced many shows between 2018 and 2020 (pre-pandemic) for the queer community in Bristol, encouraging community building, facilitating change and connections. The whole organisation is run by me. I produce the shows, book the acts, create the themes and budget, market the shows and hire relevant professionals to assist in the tech needs. Since 2020 I have been facilitating creative workshops that will assist with peoples mental well being. I have mainly been working with young, neurodivergent children, encouraging them with their own creative practices and creating safe spaces online and in person for them to express themselves. Working with local business Bristol Adventurers Guild and The National Autistic Society. I also provide creative workshops for adults that promote good mental health practices and encourage art and creativity. I am a passionate mental health advocate and enjoy facing challenges head-on and am looking to gain more experience within organisations to gain insight and create inclusive, supportive spaces for the community. I also work part time as a nursery practitioner and take all the above experiences to assist SEN children within my practice as well as devising creative activities within the nursery day.
