A litigator (and barrister) by training, Clarence specialises in employment and immigration issues, as well as compliance reviews and internal investigations. He regularly advises clients on issues spanning the entire life cycle of the employment relationship. Clarence is recognised by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a “rising star” in Labour and Employment Law. Clarence regularly advises clients on a wide range of employment matters, including cross-border restructurings, retrenchments, employee misconduct, disciplinary hearings and terminations. He also acts for companies in pursuing errant employees for breaches of post-termination restraints and confidentiality obligations. Clarence has a particular niche in obtaining interim and permanent injunctions from the courts on behalf of clients. Clarence also frequently advises clients on fraud and corruption issues, including compliance and regulatory breaches. He has considerable experience in conducting multi-jurisdictional internal investigations involving bribery, corruption and white collar crime issues.
