I am a CPC with over 9 years of experience in profee coding. I have experience coding hospitalists (Trauma I & teaching facilities), cardiology/cardio-thoracic (office, hospital, surgeries, cardio testing, and implants),critical care, infectious disease, nephrology, orthopedics (including surgeries), general surgery, and internal med. I currently audit charts for APP to ensure their documentation meets the requirements for the codes that were selected. I educate providers that have documentation discrepancies and complete monthly reporting to track the providers progress. I have meetings with upper management to inform them how the facility is doing and what improvements have been made as well as any issues or patterns I notice that need improvement.
