About Clarissa Ioimo

I have always been interested in geopolitical and international issues and I strongly believe in the EU, in its values and mission. I am currently working as Junior expert at the Bologna Follow-Up Group Secretariat (BFUG Secretariat). My function include provide neutral, administrative and operational support to the BFUG, the BFUG Board, Chairs, WGs/AGs. The BFUG Secretariat acts as an external and internal contact point for the EHEA, and also present the BFUG in a variety of settings in agreement with the BFUG Chairs; More specifically, my functions include: • providing administrative and operational support for the BFUG and its Board - including planning meetings and taking minutes; • assisting the BFUG and its Board in the follow-up work • supporting all Working Groups, Advisory Groups and on demand, preparing the draft reports; • draft relevant papers for the BFUG and its Board, Working and Advisory groups and other structures; • draft background discussion documents (liaising with relevant authors as appropriate). My role also included to review and update the EHEA website and organise the Ministerial Conference and Bologna Policy Forum in Rome, November 2020. My previous professional experience concerns two internships at the Municipality of Genoa, where I dealt with public relations and with European Institutions and Diplomatic Bodies, including the management of local events, foreign delegations welcoming, research and development of initiatives aiming at promoting Genoa City in the framework of a wider city branding strategy, support to the International Relations Office and to the EU Project Office in Genoa, etc. Education: 2016-2017 Executive Master in Diplomacy - LUISS Guido Carli (Rome) On 29 October 2015, I defended a thesis titled "The Sovereign Debt Crisis in Europe: Fundamentals, Expectations and Contagion" which earned me a Master degree with honors in International Relations and Diplomacy (University of Genoa, Italy).
