About Clarissa Mireau

Five years of healthcare leadership and department management experience in a complex matrixed organization, relational servant leader with strengths in enabling others to act and inspiring a shared vision. Clifton's strengths are strategic, achiever, learner, focus, and command. Leadership and strategic planning experience focused on healthcare worker retention through connection-building and fostering professional development. Research interests include the role of meaningful activities in recovery, substance use as an occupation, and recovery as an occupational transition. This leadership experience is built upon a solid foundation of ten years of direct care experience as an OT in physical rehabilitation, mental health, and substance use disorder. During this time I completed specialty work in program development to expand health and wellness programming within inpatient substance use and mental illness treatment, including the addition of individualized care plans targeting self-management and treatment of chronic and persistent pain. Certified as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) with the International Spine and Pain Institute.
