I am a highly experienced professional retired teacher with a wide variety of skills and abilities that go beyond the regular classroom- Demonstrated history of working in the education management industry- Strong proponent of building, establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships- Skilled in English literacy, technological literacy, classroom management, lesson planning and differentiated instruction- Extensive experience in teaching Practical and Applied Arts as well as lab planning- Excellent organizational and people skills. In the summer months, for the past 20 years, I have worked as a crop hail adjuster. As an adjuster I respond to the client's notice of claim in a timely manner and adjust their claim in a professional, fair and efficient fashion. Reassuring and educating producers in the procedures involved in crop hail adjustment is an important part of my job. I am a lead adjuster which means that on large liability claims and storms, I am responsible for organizing teams of adjusters and for making sure claims are adjusted fairly and properly. I am experienced in adjusting a wide variety of crops. I am developing a secondary interest in the area of Oenology (the study of wine). In support of this I have achieved my WSET Level 2 (with merit) and I am interested in furthering my knowledge, experience and education in this fascinating field. Now that I have retired from full-time teaching (June 2020), I am open to new experiences, opportunities and expressions of interest.
