About Clark Davis

Clark Davis, FAIA is a Partner and Principal Consultant with Cameron MacAllister Group, advisors to the design and construction industry. Clark leads services in strategic planning, organizational and leadership development, practice management, and ownership/leadership transitions. More than 50 consulting clients have included leading architecture and engineering firms, construction owners, and professional organizations. Clark was a senior leader at HOK for 24 years, including 12 years as Vice Chairman and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He was Managing Principal of HOK's headquarters region and was instrumental in building HOK's global practices in healthcare, science and technology, corporate accounts, justice, and aviation. In practice, Clark led major projects including Boeing's corporate leadership center; the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center at Washington University School of Medicine; planning for ConocoPhillips' proposed research campus in Louisville, CO; Danforth Plant Science Center; R&D facilities for Eli Lilly, Hoffmann-LaRoche, and Bristol-Myers Squibb; headquarters for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis; and Sun Microsystems' campus in Broomfield, CO. Clark is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council. He was elected president of AIA St. Louis and AIA Missouri and to the executive committee of the AIA Large Firm Roundtable. He is a regional winner in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year program and chaired the EOY award panel for the real estate, design, and construction industry. He led a major industry research program,"Managing Uncertainty and Expectations in Building Design and Construction," for the AIA Large Firm Roundtable, AGC, AIA, the Construction Owners Association of America (COAA), DBIA, and LCI. The initial study was published by McGraw Hill Construction; a planning guide for owners and project teams was principally authored by Clark and published by Dodge Data & Analytics. As a community leader, Clark has been a director or trustee of the Municipal Theatre Association (board chair), Edgewood Children's Center (board chair), Downtown St. Louis Partnership (board chair), Beyond Housing, Webster University, St. Louis Regional Chamber, Regional Business Council, United Way, Saint Louis Art Museum, and Whitaker Foundation. Clark is experienced in leading diverse teams to define and reach ambitious goals - in design firms, industry groups, and community organizations.
