About Clark Dunson

I am an accomplished team builder and leader seeking new challenges with a cutting-edge team. I come from a hardware background, but I have been developing a diversity of software products for over 25 years. I have held key leadership positions in diverse venues, ranging from spacecraft programs to commercial industry. A big believer in engendering toxin-free and trusting work environments, I revel in mentoring, and in watching team members exceed their own expectations. I am a self-starter who works well with others, finds solid paths forward, organizes and drives projects, and documents detailed design & field work. The focus of late has been developing firmware and performance analyses, and leading the ShotSpotter teams through design, build, and (often hazardous) tests of new sensors and systems, documenting results, and recommending plans to management. My publishing to the scientific community started in 2004, my first co-authored paper was in 2005, and my first primary authorship was in 2011.
