Background

About Claude MacLeay

I am an energetic and highly motivated student from the University of Wollongong where I am currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Science (Physics), minoring in Energy and Climate. My most fulfilling work to date has been in my experiences educating children. For the duration of 2015, I was employed by Plymouth College in the United Kingdom where I worked as a teacher’s aide. Furthermore, during the American Summer of 2017, I was employed as both a counsellor and lifeguard at Camp Tanuga in rural Michigan, USA. Both experiences enhanced my ability to participate in a coordinated team that was responsible for the well-being of children. My employment in an outdoor setting whilst at Camp Tanuga instilled a passion in me to work towards reducing anthropogenic impacts on the environment for future generations. In 2018, I enrolled in an Energy and Climate minor to add new and important skills to my knowledge of physics. I have subsequently achieved a high distinction average across my environmental science subjects and a credit average over the course of my bachelor degree.
