For the past 25 years, I have been working in community outreach and engagement to improve health access for immigrants and medically underserved communities, particularly within Arab communities, using a multifaceted approach aimed at bridging gaps in healthcare services by addressing health disparities. This role requires building trust and rapport with community members and leaders, understanding their unique cultural and linguistic needs, and addressing barriers that impede access to care, such as lack of insurance, language barriers, and unfamiliarity with the healthcare system. I engage with local organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers to develop tailored health programs that respect and incorporate cultural sensitives. By prioritizing the voices and experiences of the communities that I serve, I promote outreach initiatives aim to create a more inclusive healthcare landscape that respects diversity and promotes social justice and equitable health outcomes for all.
