About Claudia Bauer

Ms. Bauer has been in the biological and environmental resources management industry for more than 15 years working on a variety of projects including large-scale transportation, utility, renewable energy, public works and commercial development projects. Her areas of focus include environmental regulation compliance, due diligence/CIAs, and Clean water act permitting/compliance. She has expertise with Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plans, Permit preparation in and coordination with regulators from USFWS, USFS, USACE, BLM, and CDFW, conducting general biological assessments, focused special status species surveys, wetland delineations, and technical document preparation in support of CEQA/NEPA. Ms. Bauer has held permits issued by CDFW and USFWS to conduct various species specific surveys, which is reflective of her extensive experience with small mammal trapping, Mojave ground squirrel, and Coachella Valley fringe-toed lizard. Ms. Bauer values right-fitting the project team to the project, and is regularly involved in the development and training of junior staff in order to meet the needs of her clients. Ms. Bauer also has extensive experience developing and managing projects involving sub-contractors, agency coordination, and engineering teams. She has overseen large-scale construction monitoring and biological compliance programs for transportation, renewable energy, and utility projects in accordance with permits issued under Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 1600 et seq. of the California Fish and Game Code, and Forest Service MOUs. Ms. Bauer also has success with marketing outreach, competitive proposal writing and extensive public speaking/interview capabilities for various sized projects, both in the public and private sector.
