When I began my journey in computer science at just 18, we could only dream of what artificial intelligence would eventually become. Back then, programming automatons and exploring hardware felt cutting-edge, and I vividly remember the sense of wonder imagining what the future might hold. Years later, as an adjunct professor in AI, I was already convinced that computing would become a core pillar capable of transforming every field. After completing my degree in Industrial Engineering in 1997, I focused my career on complex and technology-driven industrial environments. In 2016, I began leading projects on emerging technologies applied to Industry 4.0. Tools like augmented reality and data analytics pointed to a changing future, but what was a promise then has become reality today thanks to the exponential growth of artificial intelligence. This progress hasn't been linear. But this transformation comes with a silent challenge: the increasing energy demand required to scale these models and data centers. This is where my current role comes in. For the past three years, I've been the global leader for innovation and partnerships, and more recently, I’ve been entrusted with driving the AI strategy across our electrification business. My mission is to help close the loop: to ensure AI can continue to grow, responsibly and sustainably. From grid solutions and power conversion to solar and storage technologies, I work to make sure our energy infrastructure supports this digital expansion without compromising the planet.
