About Claudia Coen

Blue Heron Signature Properties, LLC is growing and expanding. We are dedicated to providing quality rental housing. Our success in providing a "home" to folks who rent has served us well. We are excited about expanding our portfolio in 2016/2017. I have extensive experience in the residential rental property business and vacation rental industry and enjoy it as much today as I did 12 years ago when we bought our first property. I have fostered tenant relationships that result in long-term tenants with a low turn over rate. In addition, in the last 10 years I have reduced turn over rates, increased long-term tenancies to 75% and have a zero delinquency rate in the last 30 months with 100% of tenants paying in full and on-time. Additionally, I have advanced training and certification, beyond my Ph.D from Cornell University. I successfully completed a one year "immersion" course in small business management and marketing. My favorite activity is to "safari" in Africa. I am an avid wildlife photographer and artist. I will be a lecturer on a two weelk study abroad program in Southern Africa this sumer, where we we study African Ecology and Conservation with students from the University of Hawaii and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. My great passion is for people with Down syndrome and I am devoted to the world of children with disabilities.
