About Claudia Lezar

As a primary teacher at Nagoya International School, I help students develop a passion for lifelong learning by connecting the curriculum to their interests and backgrounds. I use inquiry-based and project-based learning methods to foster their curiosity, creativity, and collaboration skills. I also integrate STEM education into my teaching practice, using robotics and other technologies to enhance their engagement and understanding of scientific concepts and processes. I graduated from QUT with a bachelor's degree in 2019, where I also worked as a Robotics@QUT Student Ambassador for 2 years. In this role, I facilitated robotics workshops and events for multiple schools, assisted with the development of new program resources, and experimented with hardware and software to build robotic systems for educational applications. Through this experience, I gained valuable knowledge and skills in robotics, programming, and STEM pedagogy, which I apply in my current role as a primary teacher. I am motivated by the goal of nurturing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who can contribute to a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
