About Claudio Ceper

I have worked for many International companies in Italy and abroad. Starting as young trainee for Chase Manhattan Bank (1972), I have played several managerial roles for IFI – Fiat, Anvec, Europ Assistance, till I became Managing Director in Edge Consulting and Mineraria Italiana (trading company). In 1986, I have joined Egon Zehnder, the worldwide Executive Search leading firm. In Egon Zehnder my career grew up from Consultant (1986 to 1988) to Principal (1989 to 1991) and then Partner from 1991 to 2008, Senior Partner from 2002 to 2008 and finally Senior Advisor till 2013. I have worked across several business fields (mainly media, retail, consumer’s goods, services, and fashion/luxury), projects (Team Assessment, Management Appraisal, Talent Management) and obviously search. In the last 9 years I have worked as Senior Advisor, Business Coach and Mentor for companies and professionals and, at the same time, as a Senior Lecturer for several Universities and Business Schools such as Alma Mater (Bologna), Bocconi, MIP (Politecnico di Milano), Altis Cattolica, Sole 24 Ore and CFMT, making my experience available to young talents and senior managers who want to boost their careers and improve their soft skills. In November 2013 I retired from Egon Zehnder at the age of 67. I have also worked for institutions such as Aldai/Federmanagers, Great Place to Work, AIDP, Executive club and companies such as Dekra, Automobile Club d’Italia, One Tray, and advised head-hunters such as Quest International, Kilpatrick, Badenoch & Clark, Page Executive, HR, Dilstudio, and recently appointed board member of Wpartners. Between 2012 and 2018 I was the Chairman of a no-profit organization (Forum della Meritocrazia) aiming at enhancing meritocracy in Italy. In the same years, I also was a Board member of Bocconi Alumni Association, as a Senior Expert dealing with career advice. Since 2018 I am deeply involved with CFMT seminars (both in Milano/Rome and online), lasting approximately 5 hours each, condensing the issues of five traditional seminars I normally deliver to Universities and Companies: 1. How to manage a job interview 2. How to exploit your career potential 3. The perfect career 4. From promises to action: what to do after getting hired 5. From manager to entrepreneur A sixth seminar, “Two Head Hunters answer your questions”, is delivered together with Ottavio Campigli, a Partner in WPartners. In the meantime I have coached more than 1150 managers and consultants - and still coach them - with a proven success rate exceeding 70%.
