About Clay Conger

My career started with an empty notebook. I drafted everything from short novels to film reviews, and as my focus on literature and writing deepened with my AP classes and Bachelor's Degree, I learned to how adjust my writing style to different markets. From there, I dove into copywriting and content creation, directing marketing projects food vendors, education centers and real estate companies. I worked as a journalist for DC Music Download and ThePopFix, which included conducting interviews and covering events, and as my work shifted more to online sectors, so did my passion for online content in general. This is around when I began working as a Fraud Analyst for Webs, Inc. My experience with internet content and learned familiarity with word usage, syntax and other technical aspects of language, provided me with an affinity for identifying misleading or fraudulent content. The transition from creative/marketing to fraud thereby felt natural. Upon moving to California to explore more creative options, I made two major decisions. First was starting work for Truebill as an Operations Associate. This is a company with a goal and product I believed in, and as the company expanded I was promoted to Cancellations Team Lead. I currently manage a small team of Operations Associates, ensuring the team's workflow is efficient while monitoring and helping to improve our automated systems. Second was starting a YouTube channel that I still manage today, where I review films and create musical compilations, which served not only as an artistic outlet and forced me to learn even more about internet culture and search engine optimization. My career thus far has been an ever-growing blend of the creative and managerial, the online and offline, and improving both every step of the way.
