About Clayton Murphy

My academic background includes an Honours Bachelor of Science with a Major in Psychology and Minor in Sociology of Social Justice and Inequality from Dalhousie University. My thesis examined associations between dark personality traits (psychopathy, narcissism, Machiavellianism) and intimate partner violence during COVID-19. Additional research experience includes topics of public health and substance use. I have recently completed my Master of Social Work at UBC-O with field experience in brain injury and forensic social work. As a registered social worker my professional interests include psychopathy, the Dark Tetrad of personality, risk and violence assessment, personality disorders, restorative justice, and the intersection of mental health and the justice system. I am also currently involved with an ongoing research project examining sexual violence on university campuses. My advocacy work has included topics of rural and remote mental health accessibility, social justice, LGBTQ+ relevant resources, meaningful youth engagement and youth empowerment, and harm reduction.
