About Cleitus Antony
Cleitus is a lead designer of physical layer architectures and complex experimental testbeds of high speed optical access networks. Trained in world renown industrial and research laboratories in Japan and Ireland. Worked in more than six EU research projects in areas span novel optical network architectures, control electronics for photonic integrated circuits, optically amplified networks and digital signal processing. Cleitus's recent research focus is on Machine Learning techniques to solve challenges in future heterogeneous optical networks and distributed fibre sensing. His major scientific contributions include OFC 2010 post-deadline paper for the demonstration of world’s fastest FTTH network, a novel burst packet power equaliser concept using semiconductor optical amplifiers and a neural network based nonlinear equalisation for high speed optical access links. Cleitus is OFC 2009 Corning Student Paper Competition Finalist and winner of the best pitch at the NDRC Pre-Commercialisation Programme Finals in 2018. Cleitus holds five patents and has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications.
