About Clement Poh

When I was four, I read books about space and told my parents that I'd be an astronaut in a spaceship. What four year-old doesn't want to go to space? Though reluctantly dissuaded from this early aspiration, these days I still retain a keen interest in anything that pushes new technological frontiers by exploring alien worlds or flying through air as if by magic (don't try explaining Navier-Stokes to toddlers). This interest has driven me to get involved in any way I can, including conducting rocketry experiments in my backyard and joining a student engineering team, where we have built Mars rover analogues and collaborated on projects for NASA and private industry. A recent internship experience at the DSTG Aerospace Division where I worked on neural networks and control systems broadened my vision, and I hope to be able to contribute further to the Aerospace/Defence industry in the future. I am a highly analytical thinker who takes holistic views of systems and their interrelated components to ensure that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. Besides my obsession with cool technology, I enjoy reading a wide range of genres, learning foreign languages, hiking and participating in combat sports.
