About Cleo Gardiner

I currently work at Queensland Positive People (QPP), a leading statewide organisation in sexual health - testing and prevention, HIV support and advocacy. I have over 30 years experience in the community sector 20 of those in senior management. Over the last six years I have been managing all aspects of quality, policy and procedural development, WH & S, data and reporting, ensuring accreditation, compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness in our operations and services. I am committed to social justice, change management and I have led major change projects and processes related to the RAP and Diversity and Inclusion. I have a Cert IV in Business Management, a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from the University of Sydney and a Cert IV in WH & S. I am also a Brisbane based contemporary and conceptual artist, working across disciplines such as screen print, etching, sound, projection, installation, sculpture, digital photography, and digital collage. My work investigates issues of identity, culture, icons, and art, and reflects my passion for text, diversity, and social justice. I have won multiple awards and recognition for my academic and artistic excellence, such as the University of Sydney Medal and the Deans Prize for Print Media. I have also collaborated with other artists and organisations as part of the collective the Peculiar Annes and exhibited in various venues and events.
