Most of our distributors understood our technology, but didn’t know how to sell our value against lower-priced competitors. I developed sales tools for my distributors, and traveled with them extensively throughout Asia, training them to sell our products by making sales together. I increased annual sales in Asia from $4MM to $30MM in 7 years.At Ace Hardware, I filled a leadership void in a sales team that had been unmanaged for nine months. They’d lost managers in Middle East and Latin America, and relationships and revenues in Asia were at an all-time low. I personally took over sales in Latin America, promoted and coached a new sales manager in the Middle East, and rebuilt damaged relationships in Asia.
