I initially joined the team at Lowndes Lambert (now Arthur J Gallagher) in the UK in 1989, where I spent 16 happy years, ultimately heading up a team servicing large commercial enterprises including a number of FTSE100 companies involving complex global placements. During my time there I obtained extensive experience in all aspects of client servicing and innovative programme design and structure. I also undertook a number of Project Management roles including the design, implementation and execution of a number of global programmes. In 2005 I moved to Hong Kong with then Heath Lambert to head up the Non Marine Team in their Hong Kong operations. In 2006 I was fortunate to be able to be part of the management buy out team which took ownership of the company and traded successfully as Lambert Brothers Insurance Brokers (Hong Kong) Ltd until its purchase by Jardine Lloyd Thompson in January 2014. Since being in Hong Kong, I have become extensively involved with insurance programmes in the Peoples Republic of China where I have assisted a large number of companies entering this market with its complex insurance environment. In Hong Kong I have personally been appointed as insurance expert on a number of projects most recently the Hong Kong section of the Hong Kong - Zhuhai Bridge a 51km crossing of the Pearl River Delta, providing insurance and risk profile advise to the HKSAR Government Engineers. Throughout my career I have always taken active role in pushing professionalism within the industry, having been President of my local Insurance Institute a record 4 years. I served on the General Council, Membership Committee and the Disciplinary Panel of the Confederation of Insurance Brokers in Hong Kong, one of the self regulatory organisations overseeing the insurance broker industry of Hong Kong until the end of 2017.
