About Clifford Marsh

I am an independently licensed Psychotherapist (LICSW, LCSW, LISW-CP/S), Educator, and Consultant with over two decades of experience in multiple specialties under the 'umbrella' of mental health. I have a solid background in providing theoretical and conceptually-proven therapies to diverse populations. My clients are children, adolescents, and adults and includes active-duty military and their families, Veterans, adult and juvenile offenders, persons that have experienced trauma(s), college students, and persons with substance abuse, pain management, or other medical concerns. As the owner of Marsh Counseling & Consulting, LLC, I offer evidence-based and culturally-competent services that are individualized after completion of an assessment. Clinical supervisory services are also provided for interested licensed graduate-level social workers seeking clinical licensure in South Carolina and Minnesota (*noting, I am approved by the social work boards in S.C. and M.N. to provide clinical supervision*). Since 2019, 23 of 27 of my supervisees have earned their Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in the state of South Carolina. Four (4) supervisees are presently receiving active weekly supervision. Within the higher education arena, I have a passion for disseminating knowledge and continuously learning. For 20 years, I have successfully facilitated over 150 undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology, human services, social work, and criminal justice at various regionally accredited colleges and universities. Since 2017, I have developed a total of 13 undergraduate psychology, human services, and criminal justice courses as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), in collaboration with an Instructional Designer. Dissertation and doctoral study consultations relative to methodology, data collection, and data analysis are provided to doctoral social work (DSW/Ph.D.) and education (Ed.D./Ph.D.) students. Between May 2022 to December 2023, I have assisted 27 doctoral students with meeting their research agendas. My zeal for being a vessel of support for others is evident through my extensive mental health experiences, along with expert knowledge in the application of pedagogical (instruction) and andragogical (adult learning) principles. I thoroughly enjoy the intersectionality of education with other disciplines. My mission on LinkedIn is to engage as a leader and participant with other strategic change agents passionate about progressive social change.
