About Clifford Turtle

As the Youth Engagement Manager at YMCA Calgary, I lead programs and initiatives that empower young people to grow, lead, and thrive. With a background in education and tutoring, I bring a deep understanding of how young minds learn and develop—both inside and outside the classroom. Before stepping into my current leadership role, I served as the YMCA’s South Tutoring Supervisor, where I oversaw the design and delivery of academic support services. I began my career as a Geography teacher, which shaped my passion for creating learning environments where youth feel seen, supported, and inspired. I’m driven by a commitment to youth development, inclusive education, and building communities where all young people can succeed. I thrive at the intersection of education and community impact—and I’m always looking to connect with others who share a passion for youth empowerment.
