About Clint McGilvray

As a public affairs, crisis communications and campaign specialist, I have extensive experience working across both the public and private sector in Australia and the UK. I provide strategic advice and lead projects across infrastructure, property and construction, financial and professional services, health, technology and social change campaigns. Prior to joining Newgate, I was the Director of Communications for the Equality Campaign, which successfully led the national campaign for marriage equality in Australia. This was one of the largest movements for social change in the nation’s recent history. My career has seen me work closely with both the Federal and NSW Government and all political parties. I have also worked as a Communications Director in the NSW Government, where I developed and executed the communications strategies for government reforms, including the $4.7 billion Police and Emergency Services Portfolio. My career has involved liaising with media on breaking news and providing long-term strategic communications advice on major policy announcements including economic and social reforms and political campaigns and advocacy. I have a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and a Master of International Relations from the University of New South Wales.
